Volleyball Recap: Strafford Takes a Loss

Strafford was the 2-0 winner over Eldon when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Strafford sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-23.

Strafford's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4-2. As for Eldon, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Strafford and Eldon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Indians will square off against Clever at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (17 vs. 129). Meanwhile, Eldon (ranked 93rd) will meet Smith-Cotton (ranked 213th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
