Recap: Milpitas Trojans vs. Gunn Titans
The Milpitas Trojans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Gunn by a score of 69-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Milpitas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Wrencher led the charge by scoring 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wrencher has scored all season. Dylan Nguyen was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Milpitas' win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Gunn, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milpitas will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gunn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Basis Independent Silicon Valley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 67.8 points per game this season.
