Nipomo was sadly handed a loss on Tuesday, but Ava Camacho did her best to prevent it. Camacho turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Camacho and Nipomo will welcome Morro Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Camacho's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Titans' six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Camacho and the Titans surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Thursday's match.
