Softball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern's last matchup with Gloucester Catholic could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Vikings came up short against the Rams, falling 7-1. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Gloucester Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Eastern will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lenape at 3:45 p.m. As for Gloucester Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Haddon Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Garnets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
