Fort White put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Ocala Christian Crusaders as the Fort White Indians made off with a 16-1 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

Matthew Pitts and Preston Ash made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pitts tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ash struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). What's more, Pitts gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Pitts scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while Ash scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Pitts has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Patrick Kennedy, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Tyson Clyatt was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Fort White's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Ocala Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort White will take on Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ocala Christian, they will face off against St. John Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
