Lutheran South Academy came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Emery/Weiner, but Maddox Larner wouldn't allow it. Emery/Weiner snuck past the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers with a 41-35 win on Wednesday thanks to Larner, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Gabe Diamond, who posted five points in addition to six boards and three steals. Emery/Weiner is undefeated when Diamond posts three or more steals, but 4-15 otherwise.

Emery/Weiner's record now sits at 9-15. As for Lutheran South Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Emery/Weiner has already played their next contest, a 79-37 loss against The Woodlands Christian Academy on the 18th. Lutheran South Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
