After a string of five wins, Webster Groves's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 54-40 bruising from the Olathe North Eagles. If the Statesmen were looking for revenge after losing 58-29 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Olathe North to victory were Asia Lee and Daliyah Williams. Lee went 8 of 15 en route to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, while Williams almost dropped a double-double on nine boards and nine assists. The game was Lee's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Lailah Boyd was another key player, putting up eight points.

Webster Groves' defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Olathe North, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Webster Groves will square off against Nerinx Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nerinx Hall will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Webster Groves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Olathe North, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-44 loss against Blue Valley Northwest on the 24th.
