Basketball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Gaither Cowboys

Bloomingdale is 3-0 against Gaither since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bloomingdale Bulls will face off against the Gaither Cowboys. One thing working in Bloomingdale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.

Bloomingdale's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Steinbrenner's usually-dominant defense. Bloomingdale walked away with a 69-56 win over Steinbrenner.

Bloomingdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izellah Kendrick, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Kendrick's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Noelle Mengel was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gaither walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Falcons out 50-47.

Bloomingdale is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Gaither, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Everything came up roses for Bloomingdale against Gaither when the teams last played back in January of 2021, as the squad secured a 50-12 win. In that game, Bloomingdale amassed a halftime lead of 30-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
