Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Yamhill-Carlton walked away with it. They never let the Vale Vikings get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. Give the Tigers' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Yamhill-Carlton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Vale, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 18-4 record.
