Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clear Lake entered their tilt with La Porte on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clear Lake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-16, 25-18, 27-25.

Amelie Webb paced Clear Lake's offense, picking up 16 kills. Webb got some help from Peyton Aldridge and her 40 assists. Aldridge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Clear Lake's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for La Porte, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Clear Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Nederland on the 21st. As for La Porte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Manvel on the 21st.
