Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Key Sharks vs. St. John Lutheran Saints

The Cedar Key Sharks will head out to take on the St. John Lutheran Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Cedar Key had to suffer through a 50-15 loss at the hands of Chiefland. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 598th, while the Indians are ranked 180th).

Meanwhile, St. John Lutheran ended up a good deal behind Bell on Tuesday and lost 48-30.

St. John Lutheran now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Cedar Key, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Cedar Key against St. John Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as the squad secured a 59-18 win. In that matchup, Cedar Key amassed a halftime lead of 41-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
