Softball Recap: Cedar Park Christian Drops Season-High Score on South Whidbey

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Park Christian). They never let the South Whidbey Falcons get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matchups.

Isabela Stewart made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other pitching news, Gianna Charlton looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

Back at the plate, Adelaide Foster was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Ella Meikle was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Cedar Park Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .475. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Cedar Park Christian's record now sits at 9-2. As for South Whidbey, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Coming up, Cedar Park Christian will square off against Sultan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Turks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Whidbey, they will face off against Granite Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
