Basketball Recap: Holly Springs Takes a Loss

Holly Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Rosa Fort Lions 76-42. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-60 back in January.

Rosa Fort got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Takaedrius Maxwell out in front who posted 16 points. The game was Maxwell's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Robert Boyd was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Holly Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Rosa Fort, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Holly Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-41 loss against Coahoma County on the 31st. As for Rosa Fort, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-65 victory against Palmer on the 31st.
