Football Game Preview: Muldrow Bulldogs vs. Locust Grove Pirates

The Muldrow Bulldogs will square off against the Locust Grove Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muldrow is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Muldrow and Stigler have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Bulldogs and the Panthers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Bulldogs suffered a 26-25 loss. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 6-0 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove lost to Holland Hall on the road by a 44-26 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Dutch are ranked 45th).

Muldrow now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Locust Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Muldrow skirted past Locust Grove 22-20 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
