Volleyball Game Preview: Manteca Buffaloes vs. El Capitan Gauchos + Official Tickets

Manteca hasn't had much luck against El Capitan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will challenge the Gauchos at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

El Capitan will be up against a hot Manteca squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Buffaloes blew past Oakdale 3-0 on Tuesday.

While Manteca won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, El Capitan made easy work of Golden Valley on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-8, 25-10.

Manteca's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for El Capitan, their victory bumped their record up to 23-10.

Manteca suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to El Capitan in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
