Soccer Game Preview: Breese Central vs. Greenville

The Breese Central Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Greenville Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Breese Central put up the most goals they have all season on Thursday. They never let East Alton-Wood River get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Alyse Morris was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Greenville hadn't beaten Southwestern on the road since March 19, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Comets put the hurt on the Piasa Birds with a sharp 4-0 victory. Considering Greenville have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Greenville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Breese Central, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.
