Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial and Mt. Zion squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Centennial had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 77-21 loss at the hands of the Mt. Zion Braves. Having soared to a lofty 58 points in the game before, the Chargers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Centennial has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season. As for Mt. Zion, their victory bumped their record up to 12-20.

Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Zion, they will square off against MacArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Mt. Zion surely won't give up without a fight.
