Port Byron waltzed into their match  on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights  a   19-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won 11 games by more than eight  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jenna Jump made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  Cameryn Brundage was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Sophia Starring also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hits of the season.
 Port Byron was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .655. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Port Byron pushed their record up to 18-2 with the  win, which was their eighth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Frankfort-Schuyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
As of now, neither Port Byron nor the Maroon Knights have any future games scheduled.
