Baseball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

Falls City lost against D'Hanis back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Beavers fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 6-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 11, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Falls City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was EJ Ramirez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Kole Cronk also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Falls City's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for D'Hanis, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Falls City will venture away from home to take on Brackett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight. As for D'Hanis, they will be playing at home against Knippa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crushers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
