The Vanguard School hasn't had much luck against Colorado Springs Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Coursers will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. The Vanguard School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

The Vanguard School is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Salida on Monday. The Coursers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. DJ Gerber was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Colorado Springs Christian was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell 2-0 to Manitou Springs. The shutout was out of character for Colorado Springs Christian seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

The Vanguard School suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 9-2-1. As for Colorado Springs Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1.

The Vanguard School came up short against Colorado Springs Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Coursers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
