Hertford County wins going away against Wallace-Rose Hill

Recap: Hertford County Bears vs. Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs

With a playoff game on the line, the Hertford County Bears rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past Wallace-Rose Hill with points to spare, taking the game 58-44. The win was familiar territory for Hertford County who now have six in a row.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Irving Brown, who rushed for 287 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Corbin Kerr was another key contributor, rushing for 221 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry.

Hertford County pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.33 points. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Hertford County will head out on the road to face off against Nash Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nash Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Hertford County likes a good challenge. Wallace-Rose Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
