Softball Game Preview: Williston Northampton Wildcats vs. Ethel Walker

The Williston Northampton Wildcats will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Ethel Walker at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Williston Northampton is leaving town to face Ethel Walker after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Williston Northampton lost 10-1 to Loomis Chaffee School on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ethel Walker came up short against Miss Porter's on Saturday, falling 15-4.

Emily Sanchez and Kara Dabkowski stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sanchez scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Dabkowski got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Williston Northampton came out on top in a nail-biter against Ethel Walker when the teams last played back in April of 2022, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Williston Northampton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
