Baseball Recap: Metuchen Comes Up Short

Metuchen lost against Edison back in May of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metuchen saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Dereka, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Metuchen's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Edison, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-11.

Metuchen has already played their next game, a 7-2 defeat against Monroe Township on the 8th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Sayreville on the 8th.
