Lugoff-Elgin suffers seventh straight loss on the road

Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Demons vs. A.C. Flora Falcons

The Lugoff-Elgin Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. The match between Lugoff-Elgin and A.C. Flora wasn't particularly close, with Lugoff-Elgin falling 66-49. Lugoff-Elgin has not had much luck with A.C. Flora recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Several Demons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Teryn Hobson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Hobson has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Samuel, who scored 17 points along with four steals.

Lugoff-Elgin bumped their record down to 3-16 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for A.C. Flora, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Lugoff-Elgin will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Irmo at 6:00 p.m. Irmo is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for A.C. Flora, they will head out on the road to challenge Ridge View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Ridge View is ranked 26th, while A.C. Flora is ranked 21st).
