Football Recap: Robinson Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Robinson and West Orange-Stark squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Robinson had to settle for second. They took a hard 35-21 fall against the Mustangs. The contest marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Evan Moreno, who rushed for 72 yards and a pair of TDs. Brice McCurdy helped out on the ground, rushing for 108 yards.

Robinson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lane Lawson and Landon Armes. Armes is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Robinson got some further help from Cason Helpert: he made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

Khelvy Jefferson went supernova For West Orange-Stark., rushing for 157 yards and three touchdowns. Dylan Myers was another key player, rushing for 74 yards and one score on only six carries.

The loss snapped Robinson's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record. As for West Orange-Stark, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Orange-Stark, they have already played their next game, a 35-28 victory against Sealy on the 28th.
