The Lakeland Christian Vikings will head out to square off against the Inspiration Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeland Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Last Monday, Lakeland Christian earned a 12-8 win over Davenport. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Lakeland Christian got a massive performance out of Peyton McNab, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave McNab a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Paityn Donalson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Inspiration Academy made easy work of Clearwater on Tuesday and carried off a 15-4 victory. Considering the Lions have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jade Carnahan was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Mya Ferrari also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Inspiration Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Inspiration Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeland Christian, their record now sits at 11-7.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lakeland Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Inspiration Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lakeland Christian suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Inspiration Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
