Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Northwest Christian School's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

If Chewelah wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Northwest Christian School, they should've done a better job of containing Avi West. Everything went the Northwest Christian School Crusaders' way against the Chewelah Cougars on Saturday as the Northwest Christian School Crusaders made off with a 68-48 win thanks in part to West, who went 13 for 20 on his way to 38 points. His afternoon made it 29 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Northwest Christian School is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.9 points. As for Chewelah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Coincidentally, Northwest Christian School and Chewelah will both be playing Kettle Falls the next time they take the court. Northwest Christian School will head out to face Kettle Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chewelah will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
