Baseball Recap: Cooper City Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Cooper City put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for McArthur. The Cowboys came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 5-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brody Murray looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Anthony Martinez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Borzen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Cooper City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Cooper City, bringing their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for McArthur, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cooper City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Manatee on the 17th. As for McArthur, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-0 loss against North Broward Prep on the 17th.
