Greater Lawrence Tech took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Whittier RVT, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Reggies came out on top against the Wildcats on Wednesday by a score of 7-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Reggies: when they faced off against the Wildcats on April 10th, they had to take a 13-3 defeat.

Anderson Garcia looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Kewdy Ceballos was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Greater Lawrence Tech's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-8-1. As for Whittier RVT, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Greater Lawrence Tech will welcome Notre Dame Cristo Rey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Reggies are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Whittier RVT, they will venture away from home to face off against Winthrop at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
