Basketball Recap: Ossining Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Ossining and Mount Vernon squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Ossining had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Mount Vernon Knights 80-50. While losing is never fun, the Pride can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Knights are ranked 51st).

Ossining's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Mount Vernon, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Ossining nor Mount Vernon have any future games scheduled.
