Baseball Recap: McLeod Comes Up Short

McLeod fell victim to Bowie and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Pirates. The Longhorns have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

McLeod's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Bowie, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, McLeod and Bowie will both be playing Detroit the next time they take the field. The Pirates will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Longhorns will host them at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
