Football Game Preview: Johnson County Longhorns vs. Meigs County Tigers + Official Tickets

The Johnson County Longhorns will face off against the Meigs County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson County has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Meigs County will come in with eight straight wins.

Johnson County's last matchup with Unicoi County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Longhorns were outmatched by the Blue Devils and fell 55-22.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jonathan 'Jack' Csillag, who picked up 85 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one rushing score. Another back making a difference was Colton Grindstaff, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.

Meanwhile, Meigs County's game on Thursday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Roane County with a 14-10 victory.

Johnson County's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Meigs County, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
