Baseball Recap: Lee County Comes Up Short

Lee County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Richmond on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Yellow Jackets have suffered since March 16, 2024.

Lee County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Miles, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Lee County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Richmond, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

While Lee County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
