Volleyball Recap: Kimball Victorious

Kimball hadn't done well against Paynesville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cubs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cubs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Kimball found their leader in sophomore Bree Johnson, who had 15 assists and three digs. Those 15 assists set a new season-high mark for Johnson.

The win got Kimball back to even at 2-2. As for Paynesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Kimball has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Spectrum on the 26th. Paynesville has also already played their next match (against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
