Basketball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

Russellville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 79-31 loss at the hands of the Warren East Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 68-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Warren East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Russellville Panthers duke it out with the Logan County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren East, they will head out on the road to take on Allen County-Scottsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Allen County-Scottsville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
