Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Christian County

Christian County waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons 70-51. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-44 back in December of 2024.

Christian County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lazarie Daniel, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Daniel a new career-high in field goal percentage (88%). Another player making a difference was Anaysia Bagwell, who posted 23 points.

Christian County was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Christian County pushed their record up to 18-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points over those games. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-11.

Coming up, Christian County will welcome Crittenden County on Friday. Christian County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Crittenden County likes a good challenge. Madisonville-North Hopkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
