Basketball Recap: Windom Takes a Loss

Windom lost against Springfield back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Windom Eagles took a 75-61 bruising from the Springfield Tigers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brecken Heiling, who went 9-for-18 to rack up 22 points along with six boards and four steals. Heiling's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Brayden Sturm was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Windom now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Springfield, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windom will square off against Edgerton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
