Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monterey). They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Plainview Bulldogs on Friday. The Plainsmen's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their offense was hitting Plainview from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Mae Arrington led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Monterey's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Plainview, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, Monterey will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Caprock at 5:00 p.m. Monterey is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Plainview, they will venture away from home to challenge Amarillo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
