Volleyball Recap: Blue Island Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Blue Island Eisenhower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Lemont Lemont HS. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Lemont HS when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Blue Island Eisenhower was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23.

Blue Island Eisenhower's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Lemont, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blue Island Eisenhower will head out to challenge Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lemont, they will challenge Oak Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
