Basketball Recap: Churchville-Chili Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Le Roy

On Monday, the Churchville-Chili Saints were able to grind out a solid victory over the Le Roy Oatkan Knights, taking the game 58-49. The win was all the more spectacular given the Saints' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while the Oatkan Knights are ranked 105th).

When it comes to explaining why Le Roy lost, don't look at Jean Agosto. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Agosto is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last seven games he's played. Matthew Hockey was another key player, putting up seven points.

Churchville-Chili's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Le Roy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
