Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Pinckney Pirates

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Pinckney recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lincoln Railsplitters will welcome the Pinckney Pirates at 6:00 p.m.

Lincoln is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Summit Academy North. While losing is never fun, the Railsplitters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while Summit Academy North are ranked 187th).

Meanwhile, Pinckney was able to grind out a solid victory over Skyline on Thursday, taking the game 39-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Pinckney's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Lincoln didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Pinckney in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-39 victory. Will Lincoln repeat their success, or does Pinckney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
