Basketball Recap: Owosso Comes Up Short

Owosso lost against Lake Fenton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Owosso Trojans took a 68-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Fenton Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 551st, while the Blue Devils are ranked 256th).

Owosso has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Lake Fenton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Owosso has already played their next game (against Clio), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake Fenton will face off against Goodrich at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Goodrich will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Lake Fenton surely won't give up without a fight.
