Baseball Game Preview: Beauregard Hornets vs. Valley Rams

For the second straight game, Beauregard will face off against Valley. The Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beauregard knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Valley likes a good challenge.

Beauregard will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Valley, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hornets were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Rams on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 9, 2024, but that streak is no more.

For Valley's part, Carter Green was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Yarbrough, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Beauregard's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 14-13. As for Valley, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-7.
