Softball Recap: Worthington Trojans vs. Fairmont Cardinals

The Worthington Trojans' rough 16-5 loss to the Fairmont Cardinals might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worthington in their matchups with Fairmont: they've now lost three in a row.

For Fairmont's part, Brylee Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Luverne will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fairmont surely won't give up without a fight.
