Baseball Recap: Fallston Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Fallston challenged Perryville on Wednesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 9-8. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Luca Santoro was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Joey Potler was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Fallston's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Perryville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Fallston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perryville, they will challenge Harford Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cobras have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
