Basketball Recap: Tecumseh Braves vs. Lanesville Eagles

Tecumseh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 83-69 to the Lanesville Eagles. The Braves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Lanesville found their leader in freshman Nolin Pearce, who went 7 of 15 en route to 21 points along with seven assists and seven boards. The game was Pearce's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Braydon Hodges, who posted eight points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds.

Tecumseh's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lanesville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Coming up, Tecumseh will challenge Pike Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lanesville, they will square off against South Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Lanesville likes a good challenge.
