Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hesston). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Nickerson Panthers 67-29. Given the Swathers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st in Kansas, while the Panthers are ranked 273rd in Kansas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loss or not, Nickerson got some senior leadership from Alex King and Rashawn Walker. King went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points, while Walker posted five points and three steals.

Hesston's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points over those games. As for Nickerson, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Hesston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-36 win against Haven on the 21st. As for Nickerson, they have also already played their next game, a 47-33 defeat against Hillsboro on the 21st.
