Baseball Recap: Genoa Central's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak at Home

Genoa Central was the 6-5 winner over Magnolia when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Genoa Central Dragons fell just short of the Magnolia Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday.

Genoa Central's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Magnolia, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Genoa Central has already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Shiloh Christian on the 6th. As for Magnolia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-8 defeat against Prairie Grove on the 6th.
