Soccer Recap: Greenville Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Living Water Christian on Monday, Greenville Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the Southside Christian Warriors on Tuesday, falling 7-2. While losing is never fun, Greenville Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Southside Christian are ranked 45th).

Izzy Meeks wasn't going to let Southside Christian walk away unscathed as she scored both of Greenville Christian Academy's goals, bringing her season total up to eight goals.

Greenville Christian Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Southside Christian, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2-1.

Greenville Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Wilmington Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for Southside Christian, they have also already played their next match, an 8-0 win against Triad Baptist Christian Academy on the 6th.
