Baseball Recap: Kilgore Starts Season with Win Against Palestine

Kilgore had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Palestine Wildcats 11-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

K Parham made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Parham was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing one base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Joe Hendrickson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing one base while going 2-for-3. Cade Cox was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
